I want to echo what Skydvr said in his previous advice: check the feed hose. If there is a hole in it, or a crack you will be pumping gas in a circle. The pump may be working, but it's just going back into the tank. Not enough to keep fuel pressure up.
When you experience the problem again, just put in 2-3 gallons. If it goes away, then that's your problem. Conveniently the level of gas in your tank will also help identify where in the tube there is damage. Just look right above the gas level.
Finally if the problem happens more when you go around a corner, it also supports the theory. Because when you go around a corner, the gas gets sloshed to one side and the level drops at the other.
Good luck.
