Remove the distributor cap and spray the inside of it, as well as the goodies in the dist lightly with WD-40, reattach, then spray the outside of the cap and the wires with WD-40. Its an excellent moisture dispersant, and will not hurt your ignition at all. (Old motorcycle enduro trick-when all our bikes had points ignitions and drum brakes). That will at least rule out distributor moisture problems. I personally would go over my wire harness with the stuff, you never know, and it really keeps moisture from attacking again. Hope you find a cheap way out. Maybe the sun will come out, and you can leave the hood open. Think positive thoughts!
