Ignition switch 200 1980

Check your wiring at your starter. You most likely have a bare one grounding. I think it's the brown one, but it's been awhile since I had that problem with a customer's car. Never had one that changing the key did anything...could be just a coinkidink, and yes, for this problem, if there is something in the ignition switch that changing the weight, or shape, or angle of a key affects, the problem would be in the electrical portion of the switch.
