Strut mounts 700

HI there...I just replaced my struts and strut mounts (w/bearing) a couple months ago on my 91 740. I had 170,000 miles on it so I figured the mounts could use it as well. ALso when pusing up and down on the front end I could hear a squeeking noise on the mount which was a sure fire sign to know that it was shot.

You can buy just the bearing which I highly reccomend if you are not going to replace the strut mount. I was able to get the SKF strut mounts (the good brand..don't get scantech brand) for 62 each w/ free shipping.

While you are at it, you will probably want to replace the ball joints as well, because you will probably ruin them during the process of taking out the strut. Another tip: you might want to have a torch nearby to heat up parts. I know without that I wouldn't have been able to get certain things loose because the struts/suspension hadn't been replaced in a looooong time. :)
