Lower Steering U-Joint Replaced

Today I replaced the lower steering U-Joint in my 88 245. Symptoms were: Steering getting very heavy and sluggish at low speed-like one or both front tires were almost flat. Also had a notable click/clack as I sat still and gentlty moved the wheel back and forth. I used one from Groton ($89.00)/ Easy enough to get to up on ramps, but it took a number of manly blows from my trusty 3 pound sledge (using a now ruined 24" long 3/8 extension), and the new onetook a number of equally persuavive blows to walk it back down the shaft. Did not have to remove the steering rack or upper joint. Time by myself in diveway 3 1/4 hours. I think Volvo Forum should have "merit badges" for things accomplished by the owner, like Fan Blower Motor, front struts, rear bushings, these U-Joints, etc. They could be little stickers.
