Volvo Problem! 200 1976

The motor turns, but stops, right? I hope I read your post right! Anyhow, to turn the motor by hand, you just rotate the crankshaft clockwise on the center bolt in the lower (crank) pulley, with a long ratchet and a 23mm (?) socket. You may have to figure out the size on your own, but I think it's a 22mm or a 23mm...brain dead at the present point in time, ready to go home...

You should be able to turn away, turning, turning, turning; nothing should stop you. If you are met with a "clank, nope, I'm not turning anymore" noise, and/or you are met with impossible resistance...something's broken or locked...and it's not pretty.

Here's hoping it spins free...
