cigarette smell

A trick I learned from a chemical tank cleaning place I used to work...Vanilla...Any time they had a hard time getting the smell out of a chemical tanker they would soak a roll of paper towels in vanilla extract and hang it inside the tank over nite...and the next morning....no more smell..

For a car I'd stuff a big coffee can or such with paper towels and soak it down...then leave it over nite uncovered...then if you have to you could cover it for the day and repeat a second nite if necessary.
