And don't worry about pushing your engine too hard at highway speeds in 3rd gear. I wouldn't even worry about going 70 mph with the OD not working. The only difference is you will be using a ton more gas then you would if the OD was functioning properly.

All 240s with automatic transmissions made from 1975-1982 in fact did not even have an Overdrive. They only had 3 speeds.
