Bad master cylinder? 140-160

I suspect you procrastination has caused enough brake fluid to fill the vacuum booster & the resulting intake of fluid into the intake manifold is what caused the idle speed change. Please change the master cyl. NOW. They can fail by allowing the rubber seals to completely bypass the fluid & cause both circuits to fail [worst case scenario] with no brakes as a result! The rubber seals inside wear out so that the sharp edges of the seals are flattened allowing the fluid to move past them & leak into the booster. I've seen boosters that had 1.5 QUARTS of fluid in them. That's where your fluid has been going. Don't let that nice 145 go to the junkyard with a mangled body-some of us may need the sheet metal! Cheers.

Mike M.
