Really you have to decide at this point, to start putting money into it or just bail all together, the ECU's used normally run around $300 and its a do it youself type thing really easy to install. center support bearing its a pain in the ass to do yourself though its not cheap to have someone do it either. you should get a full inspection done of the car then take what you get from that and make a decison to either stick it out or bail.
