Head milling/ Compression ratio 1800 1973

There are also lots of compression ratio calculators out on the web. You can do a search and find one suited to your needs. Some are very precise and include individual settings even for things like headgaskte thickness and diameter (which doesn't quite match the cylinder bore), some are a little less precise.

I cc'ed my head using just a small piece of glass, a little grease, and a syringe marked in cc's. I lightly greased the glass to make it stick and seal, lightly greased the valves to prevent any weeping (just to be safe) and stuck the glass over the chamber with just a small gap on one end. I tilted the head slightly with the gap on the upper end and filled it with water (a little soap makes it cling and sheet better so you don't get little bubbles).
