Depends on the year of your engine.
The so-called "older" style belt, which has the square teeth, was used up to the '92 or '93 range in the B230F.
The so-called "newer" style belt, which has the rounded teeth, was used in the last few years of the B230F.
Your car most likely uses the (older) standard timing belt with the square teeth. That belt fits all the older OHC 8-valve Volvo engines, including the B21 and B23 engines.
FCP Groton sells the TRW brand belt for $6.50 and the Continental brand belt for $8.00. They also sell the newer style belt (Continental brand) for $17.00.
According to FCP Groton, the 740 cars NEVER had an engine with the newer style belt -- it went only in the last year of the 240 and also into the last few years of the 940.
