Buy or not? S90-V90

I forget exactly which year they came out with the SIPS (side impact protection system) but I did not think that any of the 940's had it but I could be wrong. I do really like the late model 94-95 940's. They are the ultimate refinement of the red engine and for the most part have all of the bugs worked out of them. If you could find one in nice shape I would be more inclined to get one of those than a 960. They get a little bit better mileage and are a bit easier to maintain. Tuneups (major services) are a little spendier as you have to adjust the valves but timing belts are definitely cheaper and they won't blow the motor if you break a belt. The late model ones even have the FD belt set up which is supposed to go 100K between intervals as opposed the the B6304f which can have a service interval anywhere between 30 and 70K depending upon year model. Not that it matters but they tend to be a little cheaper to fill up as well seeing as they have a smaller fuel tank in them. Damn 960 set me back 47.00 for 20 gallons this weekend, OUCH!
