front/back pulsating auto-gearshift on braking - problem? 700 1992

My 1990 740T does the same exact thing. Motor mounts ($$=OUCH) and trans mount seem OK. The car needs brakes bad, so I'm starting there. I think the rear rotors may be warped, causing the front-to-back motion. If the brake job doesn't fix it, I'll replace the trans mount.
