My '93 940 had a lot of cyclic braking pulsations when I got it last year with 127k. What fixed it was new cone bushings at the outer end of the "strut rod" where it meets the control arm.

They have a reputation for this, with mileage. Mine were total trash when I got them out. I replaced with poly versions from IPD No complaints.
