Commuter? 444-544

While not 544s my wife and I have a mobile windshield repair buisiness( www.repare-brise.net ) and in the summer months our 122 and P1800es see regular duty. We average 150-200 miles a day each with no problems to speak of. On the hot muggy days(95f with 98% humidity) slow moving traffic can be a warming experiance (for the driver, not the engine), but the addition of vintage wooden bead seat covers has kept my back and seat dry on the vynil seats(good airflow between the beads). As a bonus for our business the old swedes actually help with customer relations. The majority of our customers are car dealers, and showing up to do a job at a Chev dealer in a new Ford would not be god for sales I suspect. With the Volov's we are just percieved as collectors with non mainstream tastes.

Enjoy your commute, and you can win stoplight wars with other vintage machines, last year I dragged a MGA with success(also got pulled over by the police for drag racing, but he let us go with a warning after seeing our ages and the wall to wall grins on our faces), the 122 trounced the MGA to the owners shagrin, so much for his suppoed sports car!

Merci

Yvan
