'85 245 seats in an '87 744GLE?

Not without getting very imaginative in terms of mounting the things. Also you'll lose your seat belts- they are mounted to the seat in the 740, but on the post in the 240.
The back seats are entirely different as well and I think the 240 is about 4 inches narrower. There are tons of junk 740 and 760 models around, I would think seats shouldn't be that hard to come by.
Our local shop (www.theautowerkes.com) has a dozen of them out back.
