That's correct- you can just leave the key in the "1" or accessory position for 4+ hours, and the "codE" message will come back.
Hopefully you'll have the right code this time! Turn off all lights and accessories while you do this.
The dealer can get you the code based on the serial number of the radio, if it's been changed or if the one on record for the car does not work.
I hate those stupid codes. Like anyone wants a factory radio!
