no doubt -you've made an assembly error! 700

I do have a haynes somewhere, but the Chiltons doesnt have that good a picture.

I put (from trans back)

the locating flange, little thing that pops into the output flange,
next the flex disc
then the driveshaft flange.

The locating flanges are inline with the driveshaft flanges(offset from the output flange of trans.)

the output flanges just tie in to the flex plate.

So the bottom line is there is no direct connection between output flange of trans and flange of driveshaft. The rubber acts as a shock between the two.

I did notice there were cracks about 1/4 the way through the rubber of flex disc.

Is this cause for concern?

I will try to drive tonight on expressway and see if the vibe is a transient one.
