Shock Absorber Test 700 1985

The "bounce test" is notoriously unreliable. I pay attention to wheel hop and rebound on rough roads: when it grows, especially in warm weather, I replace the shock if it has over 60k miles.
My Bilstein HDs though seem to fail only in cold weather: they just freeze up and it feels as if there are no springs, just solid steel. The ride becomes unbearable.
