1975 244DL - collectors item or not? 200

Hi,

maybe I am just too enthusiastic about it... but still. I am in my sweet European home right now, and one day, taking an evening walk, I spotted an old 244, manufactured in 1975. Body is in beautiful shape, and guess what... it is for sale!!! Car is in good running shape, very little rust, pretty lovely car.

Now, my two questions.

1. Is it really a collectors car, or am I out of luck seeing one until now? Does it lack lot of the beauties of the later 240s or is it as solid as the later models?
2. If it is a collectors car, is anyone interested in shipping it over to the States? I know it sounds kinda creepy, but I do not have the funds to do this and Im just thinking somebody in the States could be very happy if this is his dream car.
