Green book manual sez "Camshaft...marking/max lift heigt"(sic) "B20F k/7.2" mm and ".28" in.
So... at 1.5 rocker ratio- a .28*1.5 = .42
and .425/1.5 = .283
My cam @ ~.25 * 1.5 = .375 too close to bother with the expense... so I think I'll keep it. Sorry George, if I change my mind it's yours.

This must be a swapped cam, what with the melted bearing, cam cover sealant, and the negligible wear. 250,000 miles on the car with no sign that the engine was ever pulled.

It couldn't have gone that far without a problem from that cam bearing. Probably a blocked galley that wasn't cleaned when the cam was swapped.

Thanks for the good news guys.

And by the way, how do I remove/replace cam bearings?
