Should I or shouldn't I . . . 200

I agree with volvodad here -

Your kid will be a better person if he takes pride in somethig seemingly ordinary rather than desire what the spoiled kids get thrown at them for doing nothing at most and for being raging brats in many cases. Cultivating this kind of pedestrian sensibility in kids is a difficult task - but if he can find out about utilitarianism, pride in work, and some mechanic skills, he will be a much better person than those little sh*ts who will always expect everything for nothing.

The most important thing is to get your son to take care of it. That brick will go forever if he is good to it. If he isn't take it for yourself and offer him a bike. The whole "volvo safety" thing is a good excuse. You can also pass it on to one of us, who I'm sure would take care of it!

Good luck with the AC. Personally, I wouldn't bother. Until I bought the Classic, I've never had AC, including some time spent in Washington DC. In fact, my then girlfriend (now wife) and I used to drive her old Jett around with the heater on full blast in August to keep that little care from overheating.

Regards.
