Highway speed, engine dies...

Fuel pump relay, or Hall Efect sensor/flywheel sensor (whichever you have Click Here for details),are the prime suspects.

The next time it happens look at the tach, if the reading falls in line with with decreasing engine speed the problem is with the fuel system.

If the tach drops to zero instantly the problem is ignition related.

When fault finding on these systems bear in mind that if the ignition system fails the fuel pump relay senses the lack of ignition pulses and shuts off the fuel supply to prevent fuel being delivered to a non-rotating engine.
