Not pistons hitting the head, rather, the bottom slapping the cylinder wall. But, if the bores and pistons were good just a couple months ago, and you did new pistons, but didn't touch the wrist pins... Wrist pins and bushings woulda been cheap too... why didn't you do 'em?
Geez...that's where I'd be looking. Do keep us posted! Good news is... if htats the case, your crank and rods and mains should still be fine. Gotta deal with the overly high oil pressure too, of course though.
As for the stroker crank... have you milled the head significantly? That stroker crank would increase compression, so if you already have high comp, I would be wary... unless you want to spend $4+/gallon of racing fuel.
