Oh I definately won't be driving it now that I know it is sick. I'm just wondering how long all the other noises covered up the knock. By the time I finally heard it over the Weber intake roar and the exhaust bellow (I really need to have one of those 18" glasspacks replaced with a 'real' muffler) it was pretty bad.
I don't really recall if the pistons were 92 or 93 - it was about 20 years ago and was a 6-bolt IPD kit, though. We also had another block bored to match at the time, but we never got around to building that engine - perhaps I'll rebuild the motor using that block. I guess if the pistons are worn or look bad some how and the block is bored to 93 mm I'll have a hard time finding exact replacements. 6 bolt rods with 24mm wrist pins are available from KgTrimning, though, and those with oversized B21 pistons would work.
I found a nice little package deal on eBay - a std sized crank that was polished but not used and a set of std rod and main bearings.

I figure for 110 shipped it's a good thing. With a rod knock like mine I'd probably have to have some machining done, with this I can just have it balanced. Perhaps spend a little extra and have it lightened by a small amount?
