My 740 has been doing very well until yesterday. I was cruising along at 80-85MPH, and all of a sudden I see a light smoke coming up from my front pasenger footwell. I pull off, and look under the car to see my exhaust system covered in what looks like oil. Under closer inspection its transmission fluid. Earlier the same day I had checked the fluid and topped her up. My natural thought was that I had "overfilled" and the tranny had let some go. I continue my drive home at slower speeds, but the car does it again in about five miles. I make it home, and check the fluid. Its at the "low" mark again, but I dont add any more fluid. Today, im cruising at 55-60 and the car bogs down and gets real slow. The engine doesnt want to rev like usual and idle is rough. I continue driving and it gets to the point that the car will stall out when I come to a stop with the car in Drive. I stop, add more fluid, and continue. The car runs great, for a while, but now its doing it again. WHATS WRONG? Is the transmision going on me? I dont have the funds for a new one now. What ca I do?
