My personal best- Upon installing the B20 I freshly built into my 544, I tried to fire it up and it just wouldn't go. After fighting with it for quite a while and kicking various parts of the garage wall repeatedly, I did a compression check. Zilch. I had forgotten to adjust the valves after I had gotten everything back together. ARGH. No compression, no start. I did the adjustment, and the car started right up. That's the kind of thing you only do once!
