I guess this is a dumb question, but which relay is the start inhibiter relay? I guess the wire you're talking about - to terminal 50 on the starter goes from the inhibiter relay to the starter and we're just bypassing that relay - right? That should be another way to chase stuff down. I had a friend who teaches front end & drive line stuff at the community college told me that all he knows about electricity is that there's a tube filled with a gas and when the gas leaks out there's no current flow. I feel that's about how I understand stuff sometimes.
