240 won't shut off..?????

Awesome "nick"!
If you have a testlight or multimeter try testing the ignition switch outputs to make sure there isn't a problem with the key cylinder itself. If the switch checks out ok you may have to start checking for some "creative" owner installed wiring. You can also check the fuelpump relays for an internal short(grap another one from a donor car or pull the relay and pop the cover off).
