Sounds right- what I see on the 83 turbo, the servo is tucked below the fuel filter between the brake booster and the hood hinge. Dana system. On the 84 NA it is on the firewall by the wiper motor. The turbo also uses a can to store some vacuum though one of those pumps off of a 91- might be a neat alternative source.
