If you read the FAQs for the 960, you will get a sense of the car's unique "problems". Mine has had several of them but the engine core seems like it will easily go over 300K as long as the other stuff is not neglected.

Find out what kind of maintence the prospective purchase has had. Keep the cooling system in good shape, use synthetic oil and flush the transmission with synthetic and it should go forever. (Unique "problems" excepted.)
