Providing that the body is in still good shape, I would urge you not to take another one of these great cars off the road. heck, even you put a grand into it to fix all the problems, it would be about the cheapest car that you could have. Sounds like you paid a great price for it. I would keep it and find a way to fix it. These cars might be classics in ten years or so.
