I have a 91 Volvo Polar in Rome. It's a 245 wagon with the 2.0 engine 5 sp.
I have replaced the front struts with KYB GR2, they really are excellent.
I also replaced the rear shocks with KYB Gasadjust, but they are too stiff instead.
What I suggest to you is get the KYB GR2 in the front and then a generic monroe or gabriel in the back. This way you will stay under $120 for all 4 of them.
