alternator wiring

i would use a volt meter and check both sides of that connector. ohms just show resistance, volts show how much current will flow.

from that connector, it goes to the gauge cluster. round plug, pin 11. bypassing to another place may not put out the idiot lights when the car starts. i suspect the circuit board is bad. swap another cluster into it and cross your fingers. i've seen that happen a coupla times, never seen any wiring issues in that part of the car. good luck, chuck.
