As Lucid suggests, the kickdown cable probably came off the throttle cable 'drum'. If it's not retracting, it may need lubrication. Worst case, you'll have to replace it - $40-$80 for the cable (aftermarket-OEM), probably 2 hours labor for a trans shop.
