Volvo electronic ignition module numbers 120-130

If I were you, I'd keep the original JFR4 cast iron two piece points Bosch distributor that doesn't have the vacuum assembly and get a Allison/Crane Cams Motorola electronic ign module and a dual LED pick-up to replace the points. Two things, the timing will float with the age of the vacuum diaphram, and you need the vacuum mechanism hooked up (but not using vacuum) or find an ingenious way to dril & pin the armature to disable the timing advance/retard mechanism. These distributors have a habit of loostening the cam portion to mechanism plate at the swege below the plate, and in the long run will loosten up (poor design, if you ask me). Also the mechanical advance in these later distributors won't give you as much advance as the old stock one, and the old one is made a lot better.
If you fit the old cast iron one with the elec ign, it will last a lifetime, run far better than the Hall sensor from a 240, and won't eat up dist caps and rotors as much. It will also resurect the old worn dist if you have one sitting around, because it is very tolerant of a very badly worn dist shaft.
