ECT sensor & steering 900

I was not at the ECU when I took my readings. I disconnected the cable at the sensor and measured the resistance from the sensor pins to the block. It appeared I could do it that way based upon how the FAQs read...

"or between each of the pins on the sensor and ground,"

is that way wrong?
