Zee, I don't know about the -001, which I believe to be the correct AMM for an 82 LH1.0, but the -002 can be tweaked if it is failed lean. I've fixed three or four so far by re-biasing the offset on the op amp which is available outboard of the hybrid microcircuit. This has nothing whatever to do with the CO pot.
The key to assessing the baseline output, which is adjustable by the offset, is reading its voltage output with no airflow. Simply turn the ignition on and backprobe the output pin - pin 7, white/red, on an -002.
The -007 and -016 can likewise be evaluated this way, but not repaired/adjusted in the same manner, to the best of my abilities.
