The reason I recommend the Mustang sensor is that it is the cheapest that I've found -- even cheaper than a generic. I know, it makes no sense that a the exact same sensor would be more expensive without any connector at all than it would be with a Ford connector -- but that's how it is. (Ask the parts guy to price it both ways) I assume it's because they sell millions of Ford sensors, and perhaps only tens of thousands of the generic.
Solder the connection, and as mentioned earlier, use shrink wrap.
