No. There are three wires positioned in a triangle: one white, two black. Obviously, splice the whites together. I'm told the blacks don't have polarity, so it doesn't matter. But when I did mine, I just made sure left-black on the connector went to the left-black on the new sensor.
As I said in my other post: solder the splice, and shrink wrap it.
