The advice I would offer is to do it yourself. It really is easy if you take your time. The compound mentioned earlier is Bedding Compound by 3M. I have an extra tube I will pass along at my cost if you are interested.

I have done this job 3-4 times and never had a problem.

If you really don't want to do it yourself, I would echo what others have said--keep shopping for a glass place until you find one that is comfortable with the job.
