hmmm, thanks far the insights, guys! maybe I'm missing something. yes, I have been "delicate" on the throttle/gas pedal and this might be a factor, as mech had mentioned. but is there supposed to be a shift around 50mph? now I'm thinking either my car is shifting late on 3rd or shifting early on 4th. I understand 4th/OD will engage at around 65-70mph. hmmmmmmmmm.
