See the FAQ for the bulb replacement, not hard or time consuming. A little annoying getting the bulb back in but if you have a pair of 90 degree needle nose pliers it helps alot.
The shifter is loose because there are three bushings UNDER the car on the linkage that connects the shifter console/gear selector rod/gear selector nub on tranny. The bushings wear out over time and loosen things up. Get the three bushings from either your local dealer or from FCP Groton. Not sure of the correct term for the pins that are used to hold it all together but they have "C" clips that slide over the pin to secure it. With a pair of needle nose pliers they are quite easy to get off and slide back on...just don't lose them in the process. I just did this on my '89, the shifter is as tight as the day it was new.
Good luck,
Bean
