I'm using an AirPort base station and in my iMac an Airport card and it works reasonably well...as well as 10MB files can work over a cable/Comcast high speed internet. Nothing like the T-1 at work, but workable.
I use iPhoto to send photos by email and there are two ways to do it.
If you use RichText format the photos are embedded in the body of the email and some apps can't handle it. But if you switch mail preferences to plain text, the photos are attached.
Even so, one guy I sent four 640X480 medium .jpgs to couldn't open them...suggested I post the pics to a free hosting website and he'd look at them there.
