Finally got my 1/2" fuel hose from a fellow Land Crusier lister in Ottawa. He found the hose at a big truck stop just south of the city. I forget the name. He brought it to me on his way to Montreal to pickup some skis. I gave him a driver side passenger window from my parts truck that he nedeed (he had been broken in). we're both happy campers now, thanks to the magic of the Internet :¬)
Thanks, Craig! :¬)
The hose specs:
AEROQUIP 2556-8 DN12 20 bar/300 PSI/EN854/1TE/12 1003 MSHA IC-84/15
Looks a lot like hydraulic hose in the sense that it has tough, knurled exterior surface. I counted about 18 threads for the reinforcement mesh along the perimeter of the hose, almost three times as many as on the softer 3/8" SAE J30-R7 hose I got at Crappy Tire, at the price was the same per foot (CAD $3.00)
Tomorrow, I get the car going again :¬)
