I have the B16 nose on my car (probably replaced after some long past crash), and a B20 with DCOEs. That front carb comes *very* close the the hinge. I initially ran the fuel line down toward the manifold from the banjo, but I found out when I drove it for the first time that the hinge was hitting it.
I have a short manifold that angles the carbs up slightly, it it were flatter the problem wouldn't exist. I think if it was longer the carbs would hit the front of the engine compartment.
