Cold temp., reduced power from battery, old grease inside starter solenoid - they've ganged up on the car.
Check things this way - have the dome light turned on while turning the key into "Start". If the bulb goes 'way down dim, the battery is too pooped to pop. Also, it means that the solenoid is trying.
If the starter solenoid is too glopped to go, the other post has a good quick fix. While one person turns the key into start, the other taps on teh solenoid. Use a long rod, maybe made from all the 1/2 inch socket extensions in the tool box, (needs to be metal) and give it a tap-tap-tap-tap. Idea is to jar the solenoid plunger loose.
Absent that, maybe there's a way to get a 1600+ watt hair dryer on the solenoid to warm it up??
Good Luck,
Bob
