Start with the Fuel Control Pressure Regulator. You can get one from FCP Groton (mentioned often here) only buy the bosch model # specific to you car. The part number is on the outside case of the CPR. Also do a search on the Brickboard for the fuel pressure regulator. There are a couple of methods for cleaning the CPR rather than replacing it as well as, all the correct checks for voltage to the unit. Lastly, if you don't have one, get a Haynes or Bently manual. All the removal and diagnosis stuff is in there. While your at it confirm all the vacuum hoses are seated properly and your AUX air valves hoses are not leaking.
Good Luck
