Under the right side of your dashboard is a fuel pump relay. IT's a white box , about 1X2 inches, clipped to the firewall or hanging on wires. PN on it is usually 3523608 though some others were used.
Replace it, or if you're any good at this kind of repair, pop it open and re-solder connections ot the circuit board inside. Most likely problem.
Also pull off coil wire from dist cap, and tuck it in over by the left hood hinge- you want the brass tip near steel but not touching. Crank engine and maek sure you've got a strong spark. Don't hold the end of the wire! IF spark is present, the rest of the system checks out and it's most likely that relay.
If no spark, there's a sensor on the back of the engine on top of the trans that may have died- it's the crank sensor. It triggers both ignition and fuel systems to fire. Replacing it can be done by you in a parking lot, but it's more of a shop job. The potential for breaking off the bracket is there- that means you probably have to pull the trans to change the little bracket.
Good luck!
